Michigan Shores Club is a private social club. Nestled into the Wilmette lakefront, overlooking Lake Michigan from an elegant and historically significant setting, the Club maintains a sense of accessibility and community where member relationships run deep.

About

Michigan Shores gracefully adapts to the demands of the modern-day without sacrificing traditions that make us a quintessential family club. We are a social hub that elevates the day-to-day experiences of our members and their families, from fine dining and casual family dinners to workouts, paddle matches, and the annual family and Club celebrations we share together. Our historic Clubhouse is home to distinct dining facilities and events spaces, the original 1929 indoor pool, four paddle courts, fitness and wellness center, bowling lanes, meeting rooms and library.

Our History

Sitting high atop the lakeside bluffs of East Wilmette, Michigan Shores Club has been creating history since 1898. Early settlers of the village circulated the idea of a country club (1897), and by the following April, Wilmette’s first family club was born. Complete with a six-hole golf course, lawn tennis courts, and archery range, the Club would continue to thrive and grow, over the next century. Early golf course designer, Herbert J. Tweedie, arranged the heavily-wooded links.
